Zentopia and Hemp 101
What are Zentopia hemp-infused drinks?
What is hemp extract?
While hemp products are taking the food, beverage and health world by storm, some mystery and uncertainty still surround this ingredient and products containing it. A litany of terms and state legislation add to the confusion around the legal status of hemp products. But worry not; we’re fixing to zenlighten you on the nature of Zentopia hemp products right here and right now!
Zentopia is formulated with cannabidiol (CBD), which we call hemp extract. We will explain why later, but first we’ll tell you where we get Zentopia’s star ingredient. Cannabidiol is naturally found in the hemp plant or cannabis sativa. But that’s not what it sounds like. We want to be clear that hemp does not contain any significant amount of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive, intoxicating compound found in recreational cannabis. In other words, hemp can’t get you stoned.
Despite that key fact, hemp was previously regulated as an illegal substance and only recently was legalized under the 2018 Farm Bill. That only covers hemp products that contain no more than 0.3 percent THC, and Zentopia meets that criterion (you can check our lab results for yourself, if you’ve a mind to).
We remove the THC during the hemp extraction process, leaving pure cannabidiol isolate, the non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in Zentopia beverages that can help relieve inflammation and stress and help you chill. The only high Zentopia provides is a heightened state of zenjoyment!
What is the difference between hemp extract and CBD?
Hemp extract is a general term for cannabinoids extracted from the hemp plant. Some hemp extracts and products made with it include the whole plant extract which contains other cannabinoids such as cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN) and others. Whereas others, including Zentopia, are made strictly with cannabidiol (CBD) isolate.
So back to why we call it hemp extract. It’s the man, man! Unfortunately, many online platforms penalize companies by lumping legalized CBD (which, remember, contains less than 0.3 percent THC) into the recreational drug category, thereby treating it the same as the likes of cocaine and crystal meth among many others! If the key ingredient in your awesome product was being lumped in with drugs, guns and other “Dangerous Products and Services” because of semantics, you’d call yours hemp extract too.
Regardless of what it’s called, it’s giving you 50mg of stress-busting, THC-free goodness with every Zentopia you zenjoy.
Boost up with caffeinated black tea or chill out with sparkling water.
As mentioned, in the state of Zentopia, there two delicious drinks; Boost caffeinated black teas and Chill zero-calorie sparkling waters. Both drinks contain 50mg of hemp extract, real fruit extracts and pure Oregon water.
What is Zentopia Chill?
Our Zentopia Chill beverage combines sparkling water and fruit extract in a simple and refreshing guilt-free drink that is sure to help you reach your true Zen mode and escape the ruckus of everyday life.
We’re not big on razzle-dazzle at Zentopia. We’re not owned and run by any fancy celebrities and we don’t fly around the world in jets. We’re just some laid-back Oregonians who love to craft 16oz cans of pure Zen with water from the Cascade Mountains. Honestly, Zentopia is so thoroughly Oregon it would deliver itself to stores on bikes if we let it. No really, it would. But we think that’s a little insane considering the amount of travel time to get Zentopia into stores across the United States including Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. We even have big plans to expand further across the globe, but we can’t tell you where we are headed next because that would ruin the surprise! But don’t worry, you can order from anywhere in the U.S. on our website with free shipping! That’s no joke.
Why choose Zentopia?
The better question is, why not? Our 50mg of hemp extract tops any other brand in the grocery store or online. We also give you 16 full ounces, where others top out at 12…if that. Then there’s the no-sugar, zero- or low-calorie deal without sacrificing one bit of lime, pineapple, watermelon, mango, peach or raspberry flavor. The option of Boost vs Chill gives you the choice to rev up your engine for an important activity or wind down after a long day. Zentopia’s a great alternative to alcohol if you’re looking to take the edge off when hanging out with a few friends, and it can even help soothe your muscles after a tough workout.
Honestly, we tried really hard to think of a reason to not drink Zentopia and came up empty. So we grabbed another full can.
But, hey, no pressure. Keep living your life and continue spreading good vibes. When you’re ready for a little extra dose of Zen, you know where to find us. Well, maybe you don’t, but you can learn where below.

The Farm Bill of 2018 made it federally legal to grow hemp and extract cannabidiol, so long as it is from hemp plants that contain less than 0.3% THC. However, the FDA is still reviewing the use of CBD and has not made a ruling on the use of cannabinoids as food additives or dietary supplements. Consumers are advised to consult with their health care provider before using any products containing hemp extract. For more information about FDA regulation, see here.
